Chainmail Jewelry Workshop

We welcome you to a friendly and creative session where you can learn the art of chainmail jewelry making. This workshop is suitable for complete beginners and for anyone curious about metal weaving techniques and handmade jewelry.

Your facilitators, Maria and Patrik, are chainmail creators from Finland and Denmark. Together they teach traditional and modern chainmail techniques and design both small and larger wearable pieces.

The workshop takes place in a cozy venue with a small bar, so you can order drinks if you like. You are also welcome to bring your own snacks.

What we’ll do

During the workshop, you will learn two classic chainmail weaves:

– European 4-in-1
– Byzantine weave

We will guide you through both patterns step by step and help you choose your preferred style. You will design and create your own piece of jewelry, such as an earring, bracelet or necklace.

All materials and tools are provided, and you can explore different rings and pendants to personalise your creation.
It usually takes around 2 hours to finish a small to medium size piece, depending on the design you choose.

Extra workshop time

After the guided 2.5 hours, you are welcome to stay a bit longer if you need more time to complete your piece.
